Through the Eyes of a River
This project was done by the River Collective, an international network dedicated to the protection of rivers. In this long, foldable book, five rivers can be explored through artwork done by artists from around the world. I was honored to depict the Ötz, an Austrian river known for its wild beauty. In five pictures, I try to explain – without words – how the river works, its importance to the ecosystem and to people, and ultimately, why humans are destroying it.
